1. Required documents for Mobility-Online
The scholarship will be managed via Mobility-Online. For this, an application must be submitted. Which documents must be prepared is explained below.
All documents must be in PDF format, except for the photo.
At the same time, doctoral students are obliged to submit their complete application for a doctorate by 30 June at the latest (see red box).
- You must upload a scan of your valid passport: page(s) with your photo and personal details (name, date of birth) only. EU/EFTA citizens may also upload a scan of their identity card instead.
- The passport must be valid for at least three months beyond the official end date of your scholarship stay.
- If you have two nationalities, upload a scan of both passports as one merged PDF file.
- You are responsible for registering for the doctorate with the Doctoral Administration immediately after being accepted for the FCS scholarship. This registration process is in addition to the registration via Mobility-Online.
- Deadline 30 June: By this date you must submit your complete online application with all required registration documents in particular your academic records and verifiable Master's degree. This deadline is non-negotiable to ensure that you are correctly enrolled by the scholarship start date of 1 September.
- Should you not be able to meet this deadline, you must inform the and the Reception Service immediately. Your scholarship would be re-evaluated in that case.

If you conduct your project at a research institute
- You will need to register three times: once with the Reception Service via Mobility-Online, once with the Doctoral Administration and once with your research institute.
- Your research institute will contact you and ask you to register with them.
