The latest honours and prizes

Nako Nakatsuka, a Principal Investigator at the Laboratory of Biosensors and Bioelectronics (D-ITET), was named to MIT Technology Review's Innovators Under 35 list. Each year since 1999, exceptionally talented young innovators whose work has the greatest potential to transform the world have been selected to the prestigious list.?

How do you evacuate a large city like Tokyo in the event of a natural disaster? For his interdisciplinary research on this topic, Leonel Aguilar (D-GESS, D-INFK), a postdoctoral researcher at ETH Zurich, has won a prize for "Innovators under 35 in Latin America".

ETH Zurich has been awarded the SAP Innovation Prize 2018 for its "refine" IT project. Markus Knaus, the project leader, received the award on behalf of all 90 project members.

The 2018 Scientific Challenge by Air Liquide aimed at improving air quality and preventing global warming for the planet. Christophe?Cop¨¦ret receives the A?ir Liquide Scientific Prize.

David Harsch, doctoral student in Professor Pavel Hora¡¯s group at the Department of Mechanical and Process Engineering, was honored with the ESAFORM PhD Prize for Industrial Research. The prize is awarded annually at the International Conference on Material Forming for outstanding achievements in this field of material forming.

Scewo AG has been awarded the Innovation Prize 2019 by Idee-Suisse. The prize went to the ETH spin-off for the development of its stair-climbing electric wheelchair. Scewo emerged from a D-MAVT focus project.
