Many of us cannot imagine Christmas without a stack of gift boxes under the tree. Others would be more than happy to bid the custom farewell. What do you think? For the December issue of life magazine, we are looking for proponents and opponents of the tradition.

The 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) offer a global vision for a sustainable future. From 30 October to 13 November, an exhibition and several events raise awareness for the SDGs and highlight selected contributions from the ETH community.

Two ETH researchers argue whether researchers should get involved in political discussions.

ETH Zurich will continue offering free COVID tests to students and staff from 1 November onwards. This will allow all members of the ETH community to take part in classroom teaching.

On behalf of the Executive Board, ETH Zurich conducted an anonymous survey about students¡¯ and employees¡¯ vaccination status. The survey ran until 8 October, and the results are now available.
