There are many different types of tests that companies use to suit their purposes and the position to be filled. Some gauge personality, cultural fit, performance, or numerical and verbal skills; others test candidates using case studies.

There are multiple companies that build and provide online testing solutions that hiring firms incorporate into their recruitment processes. Some of these online test providers offer practice platforms so that you can play around with the tools and learn how to navigate them. Others offer video tutorials and other resources to help you prepare to take these assessments.

Some hiring companies are kind enough to provide training materials or recruiting tips to interested people and/or future candidates. Whenever you apply for a job at a company we highly recommend that you have a look at their career pages and explore whether or not they offer some tips or opportunities to practice online tests.

If you’ve ever searched the internet for possibilities to practice online tests or assessments you will most likely have encountered generic test platforms like Graduates First, Practice Aptitude Tests or JobTestPrep. These platforms offer resources to practice a broad range of numerical, logical and verbal tests, to name a few.

(!) While we do think that there is an added benefit from these test platforms we would still recommend to use them with caution. They can help you acquaint yourself with different types of tests, however most of the time they are just an approximation of the ?real? tests you will encounter during recruiting process’.
