Various criteria are decisive for the attractiveness of a job. One of them is the salary. The amount of the salary is agreed between the employer and the employee at the time of employment. Before any job interview, it is therefore important to find out about salaries that are customary in the industry.

Good to know: Swiss law does not define a minimum wage. Wage recommendations exist for certain industries, and some of the general or standard employment contracts provide for minimum wages and other provisions for certain professions.
