The animation is placed either directly on the video (alpha channel version) or on a blue background (blue version).

You must use the same background for the opener and closer of a video: either both must be alpha channel or both must be blue.

Function

Enables recognition and identification of the video source.

Timing

The opener is at the beginning of the video. The first white frame of the opener is the first frame of the video. The opener must not extend over a transition.

Specifications

The components of the opener may not be modified.

Opacity

The opener is always 100% opaque.

Placement

The opener must fill the frame.

Alpha channel version

Alpha channel versions can be used over appropriate video backgrounds. The logo must be clearly visible at all times. Suitable backgrounds:

  • Graphically plain (can be out of focus but does not have to be)
  • Sufficient light-dark contrast (brightness level: somewhat dark)
  • Do not use a motionless solid colour
  • Do not use a motionless colour gradient

The standard version of the opener with an extra second of the audio track at the end, which continues to play over the images that follow.
