Project Management: Applications in research and beyond

During this afternoon online workshop, ETH researchers (doctoral students, postdocs and established researchers) will have the opportunity to discuss themes and challenges related to project management with their peers. Participants will be provided with material, which will be discussed during the session and listen to an expert who have applied project management tools in their work.

Activities and topics include:

• Fundamentals of project management (e.g. in academia vs. industry)
• Managing scope, time, resources and costs
• Risk management
• Building relationships and communicating with stakeholders
• Managing a collaboration
• Discuss your PM challenges in peer groups (Doctoral students, postdocs and Established Researchers)
• Project Management in Practice (hear from an expert)
• Final Take-aways
